Patel Engineering Company: An ISO Certified Company.

Meet The Visionary Behind PEC

Mr. Sandip Chovatia started Patel Engineering Company in 2006 with a simple but powerful dream: to make high-quality brass parts in India that could replace expensive imports. With a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Gujarat, Sandip chose to start his own business instead of taking a regular job.

Learning the Trade

Before starting PEC, Sandip spent years learning the business. He worked in his brother's workshop in Gujarat, where he learned all about making turned components and machining. This hands-on experience taught him how to make precision parts and understand what customers really need.

When he moved to Pune, Sandip worked with industrial companies and quality teams. He learned about:

  • How to maintain quality standards
  • ISO documentation and processes
  • Testing components properly
  • Understanding what goes wrong and how to fix it

Starting the Business

In 2006, with all this knowledge and a strong desire to serve India, Sandip started Patel Engineering Company. His goal was clear: to make highly precise turned components at good prices and on-time delivery.

His simple philosophy is to focus on making great products, not just making lots of products. Solve quality problems for customers. Create Indian alternatives that are better than imports.

Sandip's hard work and focus on quality led to some big achievements:

  • Made India's first Mini Ball Valve to replace imports
  • Built special machines for testing products in-house
  • Created gas meter parts that meet European standards
  • Developed precision brass parts for critical use

What makes Sandip different is that he's always involved in the actual work. He loves to:

  • Talk directly with customers to understand their problems
  • Visit sites to see how products perform in real conditions
  • Study any failures to make products even better
  • Make sure every product works perfectly for years

Vision for India

Under Sandip's leadership, PEC has grown from a small workshop to a ₹137+ crore company. But his dreams are bigger than just business success:

His Mission: India a global leader in precision parts by creating products that are as good as or better than imports, but at better prices.

His Vision: Reduce India's dependence on imports especially from China, while creating jobs, training skilled workers, and helping India become self-reliant in manufacturing.
